Camp Bonaventure

Camp Bonaventure is the premier Atlantic Salmon lodge on Quebec's Gaspé peninsula on the east coast of Canada. The lodge is ideally located to allow clients the opportunity to fish the Bonaventure River, the Petit and the Grand Cascapedia rivers from June to September. These three rivers vary in their character, the Bonaventure and Petit Cascapedia running gin clear and the Grand Cascapedia clear but tea tinted.

The Bonaventure is legendary for its water clarity and sight casting opportunities, the Petit Cascapedia known for its clear picturesque pools holding big salmon and huge brook trout, and the famous Grand Cascapedia where salmon in the forty pound class are not uncommon. Your days on the river are enhanced by the experience and knowledge of the expert guides who have fished these waters for years and know where to put you over fish. The fishing is normally by wading, but earlier in the year when water levels are higher canoes may be used to access some of the beats. Gaspé is famous for its big fish and these rivers regularly catch fish over 30lbs, even up to 40lbs. The chance of being able to sight cast to fish this size using dry flies in crystal clear water is unique to this part of the world. Whether you are a beginner just learning how to cast or an experienced fly caster seeking to perfect your skills with a single-handed or Spey rod, this band of talented guides will take care of your every need.

Camp Bonaventure has been described as one of the finest sporting lodges in North America. Designed with every convenience in mind, including wireless broadband, it is built to satisfy the most discriminating sporting requirements. The main lodge and guest house each have their own unique and elegant atmosphere. They feature well-appointed living rooms with 30-foot fireplaces, spacious bedrooms with private baths and screened porches. Travel Tips:
Canada is 8 hours behind GMT and flying time from London to Montreal is approximately 6 ½ hours plus transfer time. British Airways fly direct from London Heathrow to Montreal 7 days a week.

Visa's are not required for British passport holders.
