Buffs - Essential wear
first became aware of Buffs through good mate Henry Gilbey, a guy who spends his life travelling the world photographing fishing. During a trip to the Bahamas with Henry I really began to suffer as the sun showed me no mercy, after all I am often reminded that my skin is snow white and my hair is "fair" to say the least. Unkind sorts may even call me ginger!
Anyway despite lashings of Bullfrog suncream and filling myself with water there was no doubt that the heat was taking its toll. Kipping in the bottom of the boat is not really my style (especially when there are Bonefish to be caught) and so I was all ears when HG said he had just the garment I was looking for.
The first time I clapped eyes on a Buff I was not so sure, after all it just looks like a bit of material. Err, no. The Buff is amazing!
Buffs are made from a 100 percent polyester microfiber, which is wind-resistant, breathable, and wicks moisture. When washed, the Buff is colorfast, dries in minutes, and retains its elasticity. Dip it in the water and keep yourself cool by sticking it on your head. Use it as a scarf, a mask, a sweat band ... whatever you want. Stuck for ideas? Don't worry each buff comes with a helpful card listing over a dozen ways to wear a Buff!
Nowadays I am rarely without this neat bit of fabric and after all it can say so much about a person, there are literally tons of styles to choose from. We were in fact one of the first fly fishing tackle shops to bring Buffs to the UK angler and are currently updating our range. Look out soon for Buffs designed for the winter! For now though it is very appropriate that Buff have come up with this great new Anglers Series.
This is fly fishing bling at its best so to look the part on your local water make sure you add this latest fashion accessory to your tackle collection, you won't regret it!
