Laxa I Kjos, Iceland

Laxa I Kjos, Iceland - Sportfish June 2010

Sportfish will be hosting a trip to Laxa I Kjos in Iceland from the 26th - 30th June 2010.

They will send two AAPGAI qualified Salmon Fishing instructors to accompany this group. The instructors will spend time on (and in!) the river with every member of the group and will assist in the following areas:-
• One to one help with the technical aspects of casting in a fishing situation.
• In depth teaching of specialist salmon techniques perfected in Iceland but useful for any salmon fishing scenario anywhere in the world eg fishing the riffle hitch, micro flies and nymph fishing for salmon and sea trout.
• Reading the water
• Playing and landing fish
• Fish spotting
• Wading and safety
This is great opportunity to really expand your overall knowledge of salmon and sea trout fishing. The instructors will have specialist knowledge of Icelandic fishing and will undoubtedly make you a better and more versatile fisher. As tuition will be given during the fishing sessions you will not lose any valuable fishing time but will benefit from practical help. The trip coincides with big spring tides and this will bring some good fish into the river allowing you to put all that you learn into practice.
