Chalkstream; Last chance to experience great trout fishing

Autumn this year has arrived along with September, and the chalkstream fly fishing has been excellent. The cooler temperatures and overcast drizzly conditions have been conducive to good fly hatches across all rivers.

The main hatches have been blue winged olives, pale wateries, iron blues, needle stonefly, various caddis and daddy long legs. This is a huge array of food throughout the day for the brown trout and grayling to feed on.
