The anticipation is building as another salmon season approaches—longer days, rising water temperatures, and that unmistakable pull back to the riverbank. For many, it’s the highlight of the year: the chance to reconnect with wild places, fine-tune well-practised skills, and perhaps encounter that fish of a lifetime. While prime weeks have been snapped up quickly, there is still a scattering of exceptional availability across some of the world’s most celebrated salmon destinations. Whether you’re planning well in advance or seizing a last-minute opportunity, there’s still time to secure your place on truly iconic water.

Each destination offers something distinctly special. Iceland is the home of light tackle, sight-fishing excitement—crystal-clear rivers where every cast is deliberate and every take electrifying. Norway, by contrast, is the place to pursue sheer scale, where powerful rivers hold the chance of landing a genuinely big fish. Across the Atlantic, East Coast Canada is synonymous with classic Atlantic salmon fishing, where pristine rivers, strong runs, and time-honoured techniques combine to create a deeply traditional and rewarding experience. Closer to home, the rivers of the northern UK—such as the Eden and the Tyne—provide accessible, high-quality fishing perfect for shorter breaks, combining convenience with the chance of excellent sport.

Iceland stands apart as one of the most refined and rewarding Atlantic salmon destinations in the world. Renowned for its crystal-clear rivers and intimate scale, it offers a uniquely visual and technical style of fishing where stalking and presentation are everything. Since the early days of organised angling, fishermen have been drawn to Iceland’s meticulously managed beats, where strict conservation and limited rods ensure consistently high-quality sport. We have carefully selected a portfolio of rivers and lodges that combine outstanding fishing, thoughtful management, and exceptional hospitality—giving you the very best opportunity to experience salmon fishing at its most exhilarating.

Norway remains the destination when it comes to targeting big Atlantic salmon. Almost stretching the entire length of the country, famous big fish river names leap out wherever you look. Since the 1800s, anglers have travelled here in search of landing memorable salmon, with many rivers still producing special fish today. We have cherry picked a number of lodges that we believe offer some of the best fishing, good management and excellent service so that you the best chance to land the salmon of a lifetime.

East coast Canada offers some of the most authentic and rewarding Atlantic salmon fishing anywhere in the world. From the storied rivers of Quebec to the wild, forest-lined waters of New Brunswick and Newfoundland, this is fishing steeped in tradition and natural beauty. Anglers have been drawn here for generations by the sight of fresh-run fish pushing through clear, powerful systems, where classic techniques and a sense of history remain central to the experience. We have carefully selected a range of lodges and rivers that combine prolific fishing, strong conservation practices, and warm, welcoming hospitality—giving you the finest opportunity to enjoy Atlantic salmon fishing in its purest form.

Our UK salmon fishing focuses on two of England’s finest salmon rivers, the River Tyne System and the River Eden. Statistically, the Tyne offers one of the best chances of landing a salmon in England and Wales, making it ideal for shorter trips, especially for anglers based in the south. The system includes the South Tyne, North Tyne, and main river, each with distinct character, all within half an hour of each other, making it easy to fish multiple stretches in one trip. A major advantage is Kielder Water, which regulates flows in the North Tyne and main river, maintaining fishable conditions even during dry periods.

While the River Eden holds fewer salmon, the fish are known for their size. Spring fish are often well into double figures, with twenty-pound salmon not uncommon. Fishing remains productive through to October, though later in the season success relies more on enticing fish to take the fly. Beside the salmon fishing the Eden is a particularly beautiful river and one that also has some of the best trout fishing in the country.
