North Island, Seychelles
Absolute luxury on a tiny, verdant Indian Ocean island
North Island is a sanctuary where natural habitats, long neglected, have been rehabilitated so that endangered Seychelles fauna and flora could be reintroduced and given a place to grow and thrive. North Island unashamedly aims at providing the very best in privacy, location, accommodation, services, facilities and experience.
Exclusivity and luxury
North Island has just 11 private villas, each offering a sense of exclusivity and luxury. Using local materials, recycled during the island’s rehabilitation process, the buildings blend into their surroundings.
Set along the East beach, and with direct access to the beach and the blue waters of the Indian Ocean, are 10 Presidential Villas. The open plan flow encourages relaxation, nothing here is confining. At the end of East Beach, perched on granite boulders, is Villa 11, Villa North Island. This stunning villa spreads itself over several levels and offers ample room for your mind to float free and for all your island fantasies to become a stylish, spacious reality.
The rules on North Island are simple. Your daily schedule is only as full as you wish it to be, your dress code reflects your personal style and personality.
There are four gently sloping white beaches on North Island. Both green and hawksbill turtles nest on the island and the offshore reefs are rich with tropical fish.

An Indian Ocean Noah’s Ark
Just 30 km north west of Mahe, North Island is a tiny jewel in the glittering waters of the Indian Ocean. Just over 2 km long and 1 km across, North Island has small granite hills with fabulous view points, hundreds of coconut trees and takamaka trees. Giant tortoises wander the island, a gentle reminder to slow down, relax and enjoy this island paradise.
A natural phenomenon on North Island, the beaches migrate around the island in a ceaseless seasonal pattern dictated by the ocean currents. Depending on the stage of the cycle at the time of your visit, some beaches will be wider or narrower than others. All however are always inviting, and their location around the island means that whichever way the maritime breezes are blowing, you will easily find a sheltered, shady spot of your own to enjoy.
