Casa Redonda and Suite, Mexico

Best Fly Fishing Destination in the Yucatan

The area surrounding Casa Redonda provides some of the world’s very best saltwater flats fly fishing for bonefish, permit and tarpon. There is no better location from which to fish the Yucatan.

Casa Redonda is a perfect Yucatan hideaway

For those looking for a little privacy, a short walk up the beach from Playa Blanca will lead you to Casa Redonda and its two lodges, ideal for couples.

Casa Redonda, located in the heart of the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve, offers access one of the last remote, virtually unexplored wildernesses in the Caribbean. Anglers can enjoy the Caribbean to the east,  Laguna Santa Rosa to the west, Ascension Bay to the north, and Espiritu Santo Bay to the south.  The area is a sprawling collection of clear saltwater flats, crystalline mangrove shorelines, secluded lagoons, and scattered mangrove islands.

The guides’ speciality here is back country fishing for permit, bonefish, tarpon, snook, barracuda and jacks.  All fishing can be customised to suit each angler’s wishes.

A relaxing beach hideaway

“The Main House”, Casa Redonda, has two large private suites with over sized private baths, a full service kitchen and a large water view living and dining area. Casa Redonda is wrapped with a spectacular waterfront deck overlooking the Caribbean. Casa Redonda is perfect for couples, families or small groups of anglers/adventurers.

“The Suite” at Casa Redonda sits above the native Yucatecan flora and fauna of the Caribbean on a protective dune. “The Suite” has one extra large bedroom with a king size bed and sitting area and private bath with seaside soaking tub. It also has a large raised patio overlooking the Caribbean and miles of private beach.

All the rooms have ceiling fans and are well appointed with modern amenities. The rooms have terracotta floors, large bathrooms with marble vanities, and natural wood furnishings, set in white interiors with tropical accents. Every room has a patio and beautiful view of the ocean.

“A perfect spot for my family holiday … with great fishing.” L.B. – UK
