The Chedi, Oman

Breathtaking resort on the Gulf of Oman

The Chedi Muscat is a breathtaking resort set on the pristine shores of the Gulf of Oman, with the majestic Hajar mountains as its natural backdrop. This lovely hotel boasts Muscat’s largest spa, the Middle East’s longest pool, a private 370-metre beach, six exceptional restaurants, and 24-hour in-room dining services.

Perfectly situated to enjoy the best of Muscat

Situated on Oman’s northern coastline, the hotel is a short distance from Muscat’s city centre and the impressive Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque. The Royal Opera House Muscat is just a little over five miles to the east, while a ten-mile journey will take you to the enchanting Mutrah Souq, the scenic Corniche, and The National Museum of Oman. If you tire of relaxing among the hotel’s superb grounds, there is plenty of opportunity to arrange excursions to see some of these famous sites. If you prefer to head into the desert, the Wahiba Sand dunes are within each reach where you can enjoy dune bashing, camel rides and overnight desert camps.

Luxurious accommodation amid exquisite grounds

The resort’s architecture merges contemporary design with traditional Omani elements. You’ll encounter Moucharabieh screens, soaring ceilings, and elegant archways gracing the white buildings, many of which feature enchanting domed roofs. The accommodation carries a minimalist interpretation of the design, characterised by white walls and furnishings contrasted by rich dark woods. There are 162 beautifully appointed rooms within the 21-acre site each with panoramic views of the gardens or Gulf.

The resort boasts three pools. The Serai pool, with its distinctive black bottom, is family-friendly and shaded by transparent awnings. The adult-only Chedi pool offers picturesque beach views from its vantage point, and the beach itself is lined with inviting white sun loungers and shades. The expansive spa offers a diverse array of treatments, integrating elements of aromatherapy, ayurveda, and herbalism. Signature treatments, such as The Chedi Oriental Ritual, encompass a range of pampering experiences. The large Health Club features modern cardio equipment, weights, and Pilates facilities.

There are six dining options which draw inspiration from Western, East Asian, Middle Eastern, and Indian cuisines. There’s also a boutique with a selection of locally crafted ornaments, jewellery, art, and leisurewear, providing luxury souvenirs to take home.
