The peninsula’s rivers are renowned for large, aggressive rainbow trout that readily attack streamers and mouse patterns, making some of the most exciting forms of trout fishing possible. Rather than relying on conventional nymphing techniques, anglers can spend much of their time fishing large flies on the surface or close to it, with spectacular takes from fish that have evolved in an environment where they face remarkably little fishing pressure.
