The 2025 season closed a couple of weeks ago and we thought now was a good time to share some of the highlights that shaped an exceptional year on the rivers at Tsimane.
Early in the year, heavy rains and floods pushed an extraordinary volume of fish into Tsimane’s headwaters. The renewal of the river system reshaped the entire fishing experience. The result? Guests enjoyed a generous season: active dorado, ideal river conditions, and a quality of fishing that exceeded all expectations. On average, anglers landed more than 20 dorado per week.

This year marked an important sustainability achievement: All three Tsimane lodges are now fully powered by solar energy, eliminating diesel use and strengthening our long-term commitment to the Amazon.
2025 also marked the official launch of Tariquia located in the Tariquía Flora and Fauna National Reserve, home to the mythical Tarija river and its powerful golden dorado. The river lived up to all expectations bringing together all that was hoped:
• Trophy golden dorado
• Immersive nature-based experiences
• Clear mountain rivers
• Helicopter access to the river
• Raft-supported fishing
• World-class service
Charlotte Chilcott and Olly Thompson have both visited in the last couple of years. Their trip reports (follow the link on their names) offer a good insight into the fishing here. The general 2025 season fishing reports are available here.
