Hidden deep in the Brazilian Amazon, Rio Marié is the largest peacock bass fishery in the world and a wonderful choice for exciting jungle fishing. With 600 miles of strictly protected waters and just 12 anglers per week, this is the only place in the world where fly anglers consistently land fish over 20lb in an untouched environment.

Every season at Rio Marié writes its own stories. In 2025, those stories reached a new level. From the first cast to the final moments on the water, the River of Giants once again proved why it remains one of the most remarkable trophy peacock bass destinations in the world.
The 20 Pounder Club exists to honor a rare achievement: landing a peacock bass over 20lb at Rio Marié. Each fish is weighed, measured, and documented, becoming part of a gallery that celebrates not only the catch, but the experience, skill, and focus behind it.
During the 2025 season, Rio Marié recorded a historic mark: 111 peacock bass over 20lb. Each new name in the gallery represents a moment that stays with an angler long after the trip ends. A powerful strike, a demanding fight, and the unforgettable sight of a true Marié giant coming to hand.

For some anglers, it was a long awaited personal best. For others, a moment they had only imagined before arriving at the River of Giants. Together, these new members now become part of Rio Marié’s history.
What comes next at Rio Marié? The 2026 season begins in August, and the river is ready to write new stories. We’ll be updating our blog with the weekly fishing reports to keep you up to date with the biggest moments of the 2026 season. Maybe the next giant, the next story, and the next place in the gallery will be yours.
