Some exciting news from Alphonse below for the 2018 / 2019 season along with a brief update on some of the changes that have been made.Alphonse Island Seychelles Aardvark McLeod new skiffs

A new addition this season at Alphonse, Cosmoledo, Astove and Poivre is the introduction of a full range of YETI coolers. Each skiff is kitted with a YETI Tundra cooler, filled Ramblers and a Flip soft cooler to keep lunch fresh and crispy. The hotels, lodges, liveaboards and game boats are fully kitted with YETI’s to ensure drinks are cold and sushi is fresh. There is no better product to use when out in the tropics.

In continuing with our endeavors to improve our guests experience both on and off the water, the 2017/2018 season will see the introduction of eight brand new custom built 17,9 ft Evo-X, East Cape skiffs. These skiffs have been chosen for their extra length, custom and superior build, comfortable ride, practicality and ability to pole. All the Evo-X’s will have leaning posts, bucket seats, watertight hatches, polling platforms as well as Sea Deck lined gunwales and padded rod holders, making time on the skiff more comfortable. If you are going to be at ICAST we’ll have a skiff on the floor.

Further more there will be continued improvements and refurbishments to all hotel facilities, which will include the fishing shop and dive center.

We are even more excited to announce that as of the 2018/2019 season we will reduce our pre-sold rods on St Francois to 10. This has been a long term objective, based on our conservation morals and desire to manage the fishery with delicacy. There will still be a 12 rod limit in place with two rods being available for on-island sales. The 10 pre-booked rod limit will only be exceeded for private island bookings and on special requests. This opens up possibilities for diving, fishing and leisure combination trips.
