Ascension Bay has a long and storied history of offering some of the most consistent permit fishing in the world. Mayazul Lodge, set right on the ocean and just minutes from the tranquil village of Punta Allen, is a small, intimate retreat offering excellent accommodation for groups of up to eight anglers.
2027 marks the lodge’s fourth season, with many guests already returning year after year. Permit fishing is available year round, with migratory tarpon joining the fishery from April to September. Anglers are accompanied by some of Ascension Bay’s finest guides and it’s a sought after fly fishing destination.
