More details HERE.

The very best in wild rainbow trout fishing

The strategically located lodge has exclusive access to more than 14km of Strobel Lake, over 10km of great fishing on the Barrancoso River and 10km Moro Creek and its associated lakes and lagoons. The lodge offers easy access to ‘Monster Bay’ where most of the larger trout are caught, with some reaching weights of over 30lb. If this was not enough, Laguna Verde also offers some of the finest river fishing for wild rainbow trout in the world. The river holds an amazing head of fish, where mass catches are commonplace with fish into double figures making an appearance. Together this represents one of the most varied fishing programmes in Santa Cruz province.

Over the years the top-notch guides have developed a range of methods to catch these out-of-the-world rainbows: sight fishing in crystal waters to cruising fish using floating lines, slow stripping small to medium size streamers and nymphs, skating big foam flies and mouse patterns, or even hanging scuds and small nymphs from big dries.

Super lodge in a perfect position

The main lodge building is a typical estancia house and accommodates up to ten anglers per week. There are seven twin-bedded rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom. The spacious living area overlooks the Laguna Verde, there is a fly-tying desk, library, and well-equipped drying room. The staff at the lodge offer friendly and professional attention to create a cosy and hassle-free atmosphere to guarantee guests have a truly unforgettable experience.

“We stayed at Laguna Verde for three days after trekking around Calafate and the Perito Moreno Glacier area. We weren’t sure what to expect, but thoroughly enjoyed the experience and couldn’t believe the size of the trout. They were like footballs! Great lodge – we were very well looked after.”  C.
