Westfair Beat, River Anton – Chalkstream Fly Fishing
1.5 kilometres of Chalkstream Fly Fishing Heaven
The Westfair Beat offers chalkstream fly fishing on one of the famous tributaries of the River Test, the River Anton. A typical upper English chalkstream, the river meanders through peaceful, untouched, water meadows, with excellent fly life and weed growth to enhance the fishing. All of this within easy reach of London.
Delightful and Varied Chalkstream Fly Fishing
The Westfair Beat is exclusive to Aardvark McLeod, with its own well-equipped fishing hut and marquee tucked away in a small copse. The chalkstream fly fishing suits all abilities, made challenging by varied fly life, through different types of water from deep holes to shallow glides over its 1.5 km length.
Throughout the season, this beautifully varied stretch of water is available for day rods, guided days, group & corporate days, and specialist master classes. The trout fly fishing season on the River Anton runs from early April to mid-October each year. The beat is perfect for single rods through to larger parties of up to six anglers.
With demand for chalkstream grayling fly fishing ever growing, we invite you to try one of the finest winter sight fishing rivers available. The Westfair Beat on the River Anton is perfectly suited for day rods, guided trips and group days for those ready to brave the cold. The season is only open 1st November to 31st December.
