Charlotte, Steffan and Lutz have just returned from the EWF show in Munich in Germany which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Whilst it was raining on the Saturday this did not dampen spirits with anglers flocking from all over Europe to purchase fly tying materials and the most recent tackle for the season ahead. The weather gods were kinder on the Sunday with glorious sunshine over the whole weekend. The show proved to be a wonderful opportunity to catch up with many old friends and make many new ones, which is always a fantastic side of our sport – no matter what language we speak, we all share the love and passion for the sport.
It has been a long time since we have attended such an incredibly well organised show and everything from casting demonstrations to presentations ran like clockwork. There was a huge focus on the younger generation which was particularly good to see with children’s casting clinic running throughout the weekend, and some fantastic fly tying clinics also proving very popular.
We would like to thank Michaela and Robert Stroh for their kindness and for organising such a terrific event, we look forward to seeing you all again next year!
