The Kendjam Lodge 2026 season has begun. Anglers have arrived and the Iriri is showing strong signs.

After nearly two weeks on the river, our guide team is already dialed in, scouting productive areas, reading water levels, and exploring new spots across one of the most remarkable fly fishing destinations in the Amazon. The first anglers are now at Kendjam, and early signs point to a strong start.

Despite concerns around El Niño, conditions here tell a different story. Water levels are excellent, visibility is improving, and fish are already active across multiple species. With over 800 miles of clear water flowing through a vast protected rainforest, Kendjam continues to stand out as a world-class destination for sight fishing and multi-species action.

From the lodge, excitement is high, and after the initial scouting week, manager Rafael Costa shared his first impressions of the season:

“This is our first impression after the scouting week, and we are truly excited for what’s ahead in the Kendjam 2026 season. The water level is excellent and should continue to improve in clarity. Pacu borracha are showing up in great numbers, matrinxãs are very fat, and peacock bass are everywhere. Bicudas have also been outstanding, especially on topwater. The guides have already had some spectacular days exploring new areas. We’ve also put together an incredible team, including a chef who will make sure no one leaves hungry. Nature is as breathtaking as ever, with incredible wildlife all around. The team is motivated, and we believe this will be an unforgettable season.”

For anglers looking for a last-minute opportunity, we have limited availability for the week of August 29 – September 6, with a special cancellation deal. This is a rare chance to experience Kendjam during a season that is already showing exceptional promise.

If you are looking for more than an angling destination and a place that is raw, remote and remarkable, then Kendjam fits the bill. We will be updating our fishing report pages as soon as these start to come in.
