After yet another consistent season Iceland has proved to again be extremely popular for the 2019 season. The Autumn has been a very busy time with rebookings and there are but a handful of rods remaining in July and early August.
To that end Peter, Alex and Steffan are all hosting trips to Iceland in 2019, so if you would like to try Iceland and join a group of like-minded people at a prime time then we have a few rods remaining to offer you. They will be on hand to look after you, share their knowledge and ensure you get the most of your trip at no extra cost to booking these rods individually. Each of these rods can also be shared to reduce the cost.
Laxa I Kjos, 11 – 14 July: 1 rod, ISK 828,000 per angler (approx. £6,370)
This three day slot that is being hosted by Alex Jardine is in the absolute prime of the season and considered to be in one of the best weeks of the season. Just as the runs are reaching their peak this earlier time is when the larger fish make their way into the river system. The 5 year average is 8.37 salmon per rod, last year 65 fish to 8 rods in 3 days. For further information and an itinerary please email Alex Jardine.
Laxa I Kjos, 26 – 29 July: 4 rods, ISK 804,000 per angler (approx. £6,190)
A slightly later slot this is still in prime time on Laxa I Kjos and will be hosted by Peter. A little later, this time frame is when the sea trout begin to show up in the meadows section adding an extra dimension to the fishing. The 5 year average is 5.35 salmon per rod, last year 58 fish to 8 rods in 3 days. For further information and an itinerary please email Peter McLeod.
Hafralonsa, 2 – 5 August & Laxardal 5 – 8 August Combination: 4 rods, ISK 1,003,000 per angler (approx. £6,920)
If you are looking for the perfect combination of large salmon and specimen brown trout this trip should not be missed. Hosted by Steffan Jones, fish three days on the world renowned Hafralonsa River on the East coast of Iceland for large salmon, one of the prettiest rivers in Iceland. You will then transfer to the North coast and fish Laxardal, one of Iceland’s premium brown trout fisheries for a further three days. If you wish you may also choose to fish just Hafralonsa or Laxardal – the combination is not obligatory. For further information and an itinerary please email Steffan Jones.
