We have reached the time of year where we commence rebooking the Laxa I Kjos for 2021. We gone through the rebooking phase and now know what space we have available for next year. Overall Laxa I Kjos had a great season in terms of numbers and finished on 1100 fish for the year, which considering a large proportion of July was massively under rodded due to travel restrictions was an excellent result.
I am also delighted to tell you that Laxa I Kjos will have a new leaseholder next year in the form of Halli Eiriksson. Although he has been running the lodge for over a decade and guided there long before that Halli will be running the operation himself. The lodge will undergo a full refurbishment this winter and I think we will all benefit from a slicker and more comfortable operation next year.
The second piece of good news is that the prices are much cheaper than last year. The second half of the season is moving by one day to finally align the dates of Laxa I Kjos with the other rivers on the west coast which means those who are combining rivers will be able to transition seamlessly from one to another.
Costs are based on one rod with a single room and shared guide with full board and lodging. Prices are excluding transfers at this point as we will make savings where we can on combining them where possible rather than a blanket cost.
