St Brandon’s reduces the number of rods to 6 anglers per weekSt Brandon's atoll, Mauritius, fishing in Mauritius, fly fishing in Mauritius, holiday in Mauriutus, bonefish, GT, permit

With effect from April 2019, there will be operational changes on St Brandon’s atoll in Mauritius. The number of rods fishing per week will be reduced to 6 anglers per week (it is currently 8 anglers) which now means that we can now offer a limited number of single rooms and single skiffs.  For those wanting to do back to back trips, and have 14 days fishing this pristine atoll, the cost is adjusted and works out at $7,000 per week.

New boats will make the crossing more comfortable although the crossing time will remain the same. The hull design reduces the rolling motion, the cabins are air-conditioned and there is a large partially covered back deck which provides a spot for plenty of fresh air during the day. Reducing the number of rods making the crossing will mean a bit more room in the two cabins.

St Brandon’s remains a pristine atoll; it’s location and the difficulty in getting there keep fishing pressure and outside interference to a minimum. The atoll is vast and the proximity to the drop off brings big fish up onto the flats.  The GTs may not be numerous but they are big. Double digit bonefish tail in skinny water and shimmering permit grace the channels and flats. This remote atoll deserves to be on every saltwater anglers bucket list; it is wild, it is remote and unforgettable.

The cost is US$8,500 per person sharing (10 nights / 7 days fishing).
Back to back trips (17 nights / 14 days fishing) are $14,000 per person
Single angler supplement is $1,500 per week
