The Bahamas has always offered world-class bonefishing along with the opportunity of a 10 lbs+ specimen. As a result it has rather been pigeonholed as such to the benefit of other species present, as they have had a quiet life.

We now have a fantastic new operation that allows you to fish both Crooked and Acklins Islands during your stay, both offering varied fishing for a multitude of species. These diverse fisheries found on these outlying islands give you access to plenty of bonefish, of course, but the other attractions include permit, a very healthy population of triggerfish, jacks, snappers, tarpon, snook, sharks, barracuda and more. A true mixed fishery in an unspoilt and largely unexplored location. Beyond the fishing, you have uninhabited outer islands with wild populations of iguanas and flamingos are often seen feeding in the area.

Not enough of a catch? Well, how about the package costing just US$3,580 for an eight night stay with a full six days guided fishing? This also includes one night stay in Nassau and your internal flights. The lodge can take up to ten anglers. Part of a group? If you are six anglers, then the sixth pays only US$1,200. If you are eight, then the eighth travels for free – this can be used as a host spot or split as a discount between the group.

The guides are excellent and have fantastic skiffs at their disposal to enable you to access the huge area quickly and comfortably. A location that certainly lets the fishing speak for itself and is best suited for those that are looking for the quality of the fishing first then creature comforts second; the lodge is clean and comfortable with spacious, air conditioned rooms but are basic. The food is plentiful and is best described as home cooking rather than restaurant standard.
