2014/15 Season Underway

The operation at Estancia Laguna Verde really is increasing in strength from season to season as they continually invest in the programme, the road network and get to know the masses of fishing they have access to. Indeed, with the season just getting underway they have reported back on a new section of the Moro they have found, which largely resembles a chalk-stream, meandering through a meadow.

Here’s the report for the opening of the 2014/15 season:

FISHING:

Fishing was very good throughout the week, and anglers enjoying all the different programs the Estancia has to offer, especially with the much improved access that allows a wide option to do each day.

For sure, season 2014/15 started very strong, with a monster of 20 plus pound fish, right at the start, caught by Santiago S. , just outside Finger Bay, a new favourite for sure.
The catch was amazing all the way, with Santiago and his guide spotting the fish cruising at good distance, a very good cast in its path, and the fish taking a small Cooper John slowly stripped just below surface, with a perfect set by the angler to secure the take.

News:

Estancia Laguna Verde has started work to access with vehicles to “Waterfall pool” and several pools at the middle section of Barrancoso river, from main road, which will allow more anglers to fish that fantastic beat of the river, that until now was only fished during the “River walk fishing program.”
Also two bridges are being built, so access to more remote part of the river are possible in both margins.

Work on the road continued during spring, with snow doing its work, with all new roads more compact, providing fantastic access even to the more remotes areas of Strobel, Barrancoso river and Moro creek.
