The Tapam 2026 season continues at full speed with eight fish over 180cm landed to date, along with three broken rods, three broken fly lies and one fish jumping straight into the boat.

The daily guide reports have been incredible. Here are a few direct from the boats:

Jacob: “Jumped a metre fish in the morning, which completed the week with a total of 45 tarpon hooked!”

Aurélien: “Morning was excellent. Jumped four and landed two, caught five snook and a jack. Went to another hotspot, jumped three, and landed two. Two more landed during evening session. 13 tarpon hooked in total”

Mikkel: “Jumped 150lb’er during morning session, jumped 120lb’er in the evening at a newly found spot. Threw the fly on the first big run!”

Catching giant tarpon is never easy, and figuring out a vast system of rivers and lagoons like Tapam takes years.

Of course you can be lucky, but good guides make all the difference. The team here has gone all in, scouting, recruiting young, hungry and hard-working guides, all combined with many years of experience. The boats and equipment have been and upgraded too, so nothing is left to chance.
