Set in a pristine Andean valley on the banks of the magnificent Rio Palena, Eleven Rio Palena lodge is a superb angling retreat. The Los Lagos region is famous for large, wild brown and rainbow trout and anglers can wade or float right from the front door.

Day 1 – The Rainforest
Hike through lush ferns and dense canopy to hidden waterfalls – a side of Patagonia few ever realise exists.
Day 2 – High Alpine
Explore above the treeline and into condor territory, where the views reveal an exquisite landscape. There’s a chance to trek on the glacier, to paddle across pristine alpine lakes and hike across remote ridgelines.
Day 3 – On the Water
Rives are the heart of this region and the come in many shapes. Spotting fish in clear currents is a joy to any visiting angler.
Day 4 – The Futaleufú
A great way to experience northern Patagonia in motion as you raft or kayak this legendary river as it churns through its steep canyon walls surrounded by forested mountains.
Day 5 – Life in Palena
The chance to get to know something of the lives of the people who have called these valleys home for generations. Meet family members, explore nearby communities and gather back at the lodge for a traditional Patagonian asado.
