We are delighted to announce that from the beginning of the 2022 season our exclusive fishery at Testcombe on the River Test will now control both banks of the fishery on a long-term lease taking its capacity from three to five rods or six with an intact party. This is particularly exciting as there are so few beats on the Upper Test that have capacity for a group of anglers to fish in this manner.
The fishery will be split into two beats with the original home beat taking three rods and the opposite bank taking two rods. When taken as an intact fishery utilising the lovely grade II listed fishing hut, rods may wander around as they wish, retaining the private and informal air that we love so much. There will also be a separate hut for the opposite bank to use for those only taking the opposite bank.
An expansive and exciting development programme is being undertaken to improve access to all areas of the fishery including the addition of a new car park and extra paths and bridges to connect areas together. This will ensure less time is taken moving around and more time on the water.
