Chalkstream autumn grayling fishing on the Anton, Test, Avon and Lambourn rivers that  hold some magnificent grayling and now that the trout season on these rivers is rapidly heading to a close the time is right to start thinking about targeting these fish over the coming months of autumn and early winter.
The October and November days are proving extremely popular with only limited availability left on both rivers.

The beat system on most estates is usually abandoned after the trout season has ended which allows us to roam the entire fishery rather than be restricted to one location,  a great way to explore new areas.

River Anton Grayling
Large Grayling caught on river Anton 21st September 2016

If you would like the opportunity of fishing both the above rivers on the same day we have exclusive access on the Fullerton Estate over the weekend of 22nd & 23rd October. This estate has fishing on both rivers. Fish the Anton in the morning and the Test in the afternoon or visa versa. Limited to 6 rods each day.
Wading is permitted but only on the upper Anton beats. Professional guiding can also be provided.

Our Avon beat on the Heale Estate at Upper Woodford is also availble from 15th October and has the reputation as one of the most productive grayling areas on the whole river.
Even the slightest hatches of fly will start the smaller grayling taking dry flies whereas the biiger fish like that pictured above require a deeper sunk nymph to tempt.

If you would like more information on any of our chalkstream grayling fishing please contact Bill Latham or call our office on +44(0)1980 847389.
