Fly Fishing AT TJUONAJOKK LODGE

Why ALISTAIR wants to visit this destination

Alistair is particularly excited to be heading to Tjuonajokk, having wanted to experience this remote corner of Swedish Lapland for some time. The Kaitum River is renowned for its extraordinary population of large, wild grayling, which rise readily to dry flies, making it a fascinating destination for anyone who enjoys varied and technically rewarding fly fishing. Add in the adventure of flying by helicopter deep into the wilderness, fishing a different stretch of river each day, and the opportunity to explore everything from fast pocket water to delicate dry-fly fishing and streamer fishing for brown trout, and it promises to be a truly memorable week. Alistair is looking forward not only to the fishing, but to sharing the whole experience with the group – from the spectacular Arctic scenery to three-course dinners and a glass of wine back at the lodge.
