La Villa de Estancia Maria Behety Head Guide – Diego Motter

Another good week at La Villa, the fishing was good. On Monday we started the week with 120 km of wind, the river came up and got dirty. The first 3 days we fished with big flies, then as the river cleared, we ended up fishing with nymphs.

Sinking lines was the best, small intruders worked great this week.

We recommend at least 2 rods, 1 with floating (Scandi) and the other one with sinking lines (Skagit).

We found more fish than previous weeks in the upper part of the river.

Sunray shadow, emb, intruders were the best flies of the week.

115 fish were landed, 24 fish over 15 pounds, 1 fish over 20 pound, average weight 9 pounds.

Philip Donetti was top rod of the week.
