Trout fly fishing on the English chalkstreams comes in many guises; syndicates and day rods to family days out and corporate events, but perhaps you do not feel any of these quite fit for you. Maybe you have considered taking a season rod but find the specific days restrictive or worried one venue will not offer enough variety throughout a season. This is where our Aardvark McLeod Roving Syndicate may be the answer. We can offer choice of venues, date flexibility, varying group sizes, streamside assistance and cost savings.
Choice of Venues
We at Aardvark McLeod proudly offer chalkstream fly fishing throughout Hampshire, Wiltshire, Berkshire and Dorset. This includes some of the most notable river names in the world, with the likes of the Test, Itchen, Avon and Kennet to name a few. In the Roving Syndicate we offer you a choice of venues across all of our offerings so that you can mix your fishing venues up from prime mayfly beats on the middle and lower sections of the rivers to small, intimate stream-like sections on the carriers and upper river sections.
When entering into a syndicate for a specific day of the week, it is often hard to know what you will be doing on that given day throughout a whole season. With this in mind we allow you to give us a list of dates that you would like to fish and build your Roving Syndicate to suit.
Varying Group Sizes
Often chalkstream fly fishing offers the perfect remedy to our busy lives, and a day on the water by oneself can provide the perfect recuperation space. That said, it is also great to be able to share this wonderful passion with friends, family and colleagues. Rather than limit your Roving Syndicate days to one rod, we also offer the chance to add additional rods to your chosen days (this does incur a separate charge varying per beat).
We have all had that moment on the water when it is just not happening, the trout is right there but fooling it into taking our offering is proving difficult. It is in these moments when we often wish that we had a guide on hand to offer advice. All of the beats available in the Roving Syndicate do have the option of including a guide (this must be prearranged and does incur a separate charge).
Signing up to the Aardvark McLeod Roving Syndicate offers an overall saving rather than booking these beats individually. The options are a half rod (6 days fishing) or a full rod (12 days fishing). It is possible to spread your days out across beats and dates as much or as little as you like. Whether you simply want a half rod just during the mayfly on the River Test, or you would like to do a full sweep of chalkstreams throughout the season. Each Roving Syndicate rod is individually priced depending on the beats and dates selected.
