Russia, Atlantic salmon fishing Upper Varzuga.

The Upper Varzuga on the Kola Peninsula offers fantastic fishing and tremendous value for money. A ten night, nine day stay will cost just €5,995 (euros) per rod – to include a single room. Over your stay you can realistically expect to catch 20-30 salmon to your own rod. Whilst the average size of the salmon are not comparable to the big fish rivers, most fish caught will be in the 5-8 lbs bracket with some well into double figures.

The Varzuga is a beautiful river to fish and has mile upon mile of stunning fly water that keeps you on tenterhooks with each cast. Return to the fantastically appointed lodge in the evening where you will have a single room as standard and be greeted with a myriad of creature comforts, well beyond what one would expect in such a remote location.
