Cayo Paredón is a stunning spot nestled in the heart of the Jardines del Rey Archipelago off Cuba’s north east coast. Spanning only 8.7 km2 this tiny island offers an intimate and exclusive, land-based, fly fishing experience.

Paredón is well known for fly fishing, and has been on the radar of many anglers for decades. Since Paredón is inside the Jardines del Rey Marine Park, it is under Marine Park Management with conservation aspects rigorously adhered to. Hard bottomed flats bordering deep blue channels allow great wading opportunities for bonefish, permit and tarpon, among other species. The bonefish are numerous and large. There is also a good population of permit that cruise the same flats but in the deeper water.

Refurbished skiffs, all upgraded with new engines for the 2026 season, allow anglers swift access to one of the Caribbean’s most diverse fishing areas.
Cayo Paredon availability for 2026
