Echoes of Patagonia, Chile
Varied rivers, lakes and lagoons in a remote and wild landscape
Echoes of Patagonia is a fly fishing experience offering access to a great diversity of waters: deep lakes, still lagoons and access to remote rivers in Chilean Patagonia.
Great guides, great access and great variety
Tamango Lake is the centre of the operation and requires precision fishing, usually relying on sight fishing techniques. Quetro Lagoon is home to plentiful brown trout and rewards technical fishing. Lapparent Lake offers crystal clear waters and fishing from a boat allows access to untouched areas of water. Cochraine River is a technical, clear, river with a complex structure. The reward of catching the trout of a lifetime here, in a beautiful setting, is an unparalleled experience. Jeinimeni River and Verde Lagoon are other treats here. Ibanez River mouth provides great conditions for boat fishing with a floating line using attractors or streamers. Huemules River is great for walking and casting with delicate imitations and precise movements. The Baker River is completely different, the natural outlet of Chile’s largest lake and an ideal environment for producing large trout. Finally, Paloma River stretches like an artery between mountains and offers a diverse range of fishing from wide runs to deep pools. Trout are not easy to find here; you will need to read the water and present your fly at just the right moment.
The fishing guides are committed to providing a superb experience and are known for their technical knowledge, ability to read the water, to choose the right fly and help anglers achieve a perfect presentation.
Tranquil lodge in peaceful setting
Lodge Lago Largo, built with natural materials, blends perfectly into its setting and provides a peaceful spot from which to enjoy this tranquil corner of Patagonia. Remote Patagonia at its best
The lodge is set in the middle of a lenga forest on the shores of Lago Largo, 15km from Cerro Castillo. Balmaceda Airport is the closest at a little over an hour away.
