The first week at Las Buitreras has proved very fruitful. The total number for the week was 105 sea trout over 3 lbs with an average weight of 8 lbs. The water conditions are looking good, and unlike last year there are more fish coming in with the early season big fish.

The lower part of the river has fished the best which is normal at this time of year with “One Cast” on beat 5 and “Outer Limit” on beat three proving to be the most productive. the best flies have been the Peacock Bomber in size 6 and stoats tail in size 10. The largest fish was 28 lbs caught by David Roby and Ulrika Bilstrom landed on of 19 lbs. We are looking forward ot another excellent season, and please have a look a the movie below for some images.
