After enduring months of relentless rain, the water levels in the upper reaches of the Test have surged, rendering fishing impossible for now. This setback is poised to delay the Mayfly season by at least a couple of weeks, stripping away the historically best part of the fishing calendar. Consequently, the availability of fishing spots for the first two weeks of the season is likely to be severely constrained.

However, amidst this uncertainty, there’s a glimmer of hope for anglers eager to cast their lines. We’ve managed to reserve a handful of days at Testcombe, along with a few rod days at Wherwell. While it might sound like a pitch from a used car salesman, the truth is, these opportunities are bound to disappear rapidly. With the weather showing signs of change, now is the opportune moment to secure your days on the River Test.

With the rivers swollen and the Mayfly season postponed, these remaining spots at Testcombe and Wherwell present a golden chance to experience the magic of the Upper Test during the latter half of May and the early weeks of June. Don’t let this window slip away; book your fishing days now before they’re gone!

We have Availability for what will be the begining of the Mayfly season.
