Beh Kay Lodge, Mexico, November 2026

Alex Jardine will be heading to Espiritu Santo Bay, one of the most exclusive fishing locations in Mexico, with a group in November 2026. The bay is one of the leading permit and Grand Slam destinations in the world. Based from the very newly built Beh Kay Lodge, the group will have access to one of the most exciting flats systems in the world.

Beh Kay Lodge, Mexico, permit, Aardvark McLeod

Espiritu Santo Bay is a remote flats fishery and the least-fished of all Mexico’s entire Caribbean coast. The bay is made up of a myriad of creeks, lagoons, back bays, channels and seemingly endless flats. It remains one of the most remote and unfished saltwater fly fishing destinations in the Caribbean. It offers consistent fly fishing for permit and bonefish and can produce excellent fishing for baby tarpon, as well as giant pelagic tarpon in the late summer and autumn. Large snook can also be found here throughout the season and especially the autumn months.

Beh Kay Lodge is the newest offering in Espiritu Santo Bay specialising in permit fishing, exceptional service, and fine accommodations. Situated on the coastline to Punta Herrero, Beh Kay is set to be Espiritu Santo Bay’s finest permit lodge. A collaborative venture between renowned angler and lodge developer Carlos Cortez and the experienced team at Nervous Waters, this exclusive oceanfront retreat offers unparalleled access to the legendary flats of Espiritu Santo Bay.

The lodge features a collection of five geodesic domes with double-occupancy—each offering air conditioning and private en-suite bathrooms, ensuring comfort after a day on the water. The cuisine and service will mirror the high standards set by Nervous Waters at their esteemed global locations, providing a dining experience as extraordinary as the fishing.

Why Alex wants to visit this destination:

Alex has fished along the north coast of the Yucatan and Ascension Bay but has always longed to fish the more exclusive Espiritu Santo Bay flats. It is a great option for experienced anglers looking to target permit but also a chance for anglers to fish to plentiful bonefish, baby tarpon, and snook ( a species that still eludes Alex!).

The new lodge has offered new opportunities to explore this world-renowned fishery.

This is a great week for first time and experienced saltwater anglers alike as you will have a chance to explore some of the most varied flats fishing available. Alex will be on hand throughout the week to offer additional support and guidance.
